Nos
quieren convencer, nos predican permanentemente, desde la escuela hasta
los medios de comunicación, de que la vida es una competencia
permanente de todos contra todos. Pero, ¿cuál es el origen de esta
sórdida visión de la realidad? y, sobre todo, ¿a quién beneficia?
El
darwinismo no es sólo una supuesta teoría científica, es toda una
concepción de la realidad que comparte sus raíces históricas y
culturales con la doctrina del “libre mercado” y por eso se ha
convertido en una pieza central en el adoctrinamiento social sobre la
concepción del mundo de las sociedades autodenominadas “avanzadas” al
conformar una mentalidad de competición como base del desarrollo social y
natural. Sin embargo, una mirada a la vida limpia de estos viejos
prejuicios nos muestra que todos los sistemas naturales, desde la célula
hasta los organismos y ecosistemas muestran una gran capacidad de
autorregulación y de integración armónica entre todos sus componentes.
Una Naturaleza de increíble belleza y complejidad, de cooperación, de
comunicación entre los organismos y el ambiente, en la que todos sus
componentes son necesarios para su funcionamiento equilibrado. Tal vez,
un día, sea posible una sociedad en la que haya sitio para todos.
